In celebration of 50 years in business, The Yurconic Agency has been on a mission to give back to the community by donating $50,000 to various causes and organizations important to their team.
Donations have already been made to the American Heart Association, ArtsQuest, St. Luke’s Hospice, Good Shepherd, United Cerebral Palsy of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber, Executive Education Academy Charter School, AHEPA Service Dogs for Warriors, Via of the Lehigh Valley, Cetronia Ambulance Corps, Volunteers Center of the Lehigh Valley, Cancer Support Community- Greater Lehigh Valley, The Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley, Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley and the Allentown Rescue Mission.
“Our community is extremely important to us and has supported us for the last 50 years we’ve been in business. We thought there’d be no better way to celebrate this important milestone than by giving back,” President John Yurconic said. “It was important to me that we donate this money because organizations like the American Heart Association and The Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley give so much, and we want to contribute in any way we can”
John Yurconic holds many personal ties to the selected organizations, and felt that it was important to contribute.
“These causes are very near and dear to my heart,” Yurconic said. “My family and I have relied on Good Shepherd for many years and they have phenomenal specialized programs and rehabilitation services. My uncle was born with cerebral palsy and United Cerebral Palsy of Northeastern Pennsylvania contributed greatly to his quality of life. If we could help improve someone’s life through our donation, that is worth every penny.”
